I picked up this 1972 BMW R75/5 on Craigslist in a completely compulsive purchase. It didn't even run. Blown out right side con rod bearing. ------ Tore the engine down and decided that the crank was just too fucked to use, so I bought a good '74 R75/6 block from a ADVrider forum member for a $150 and decided to build that instead. ---- Almost got the engine completed. New rods, bearings, pistons, rings, clutch, etc. I'll post more once I get the newly painted fenders and Corbin seat next week.

Well, after a full top-end rebuild by the famed Baisley Hi-Performance, I got the bike back together and guess what: Still hard starting and running lean. Well, I had some rebuilt heads in my garage from my last '72, slapped 'em on and BlAM! One kick Sporty! It was my shit heads all along. Oh well! Glad I didnt sell her for cheap like I was gonna do. Runs like a champ now. Been riding her around town all week. Bliss. Here's a lil vid of my buddy taking her out for a test ride.
